The pink wire with blue stripe on some ’91 4runners is the remote switch for 2 small rear amps connected to the rear speakers. The speaker wiring is the same, but if you don’t connect this wire to your amp remote on your head unit, your rear speakers will not fire. It took some time and digging for me to figure this out.
I still don’t know what my black wire with red stripe and white wire with green stripe do…
