This weekend, I just replaced four speakers in my 2001 Toyota Sienna (both front doors and both rear 1/4 speakers- not the front A pillar tweeters). Either this wiring information is dead wrong or my car was built on a Friday afternoon after a liquid lunch. Here is how the wiring was colored on mine:
Left front Door – Gray and Green
Right front Door – Gray and Green
Left Rear 1/4 – Gray and Green
Right Rear 1/4 – Gray and Red.
The left A pillar speaker has Black and Red
The Right A pillar speaker has Black and Blue
The speakers on the left made the best sound with the Green wire mounted to the (+) terminal and the Gray wire to the (-).
The speakers on the right made the best sound with the Gray wire hooked to the (+) terminal and the Red or Green wire hooked to the (-). it works so I’m going with it. thanks!
